New EG-ZM200D2 Rotor Grinder Brings New Productivity to Stepper Motor Manufacturing

New Equipment, New Productivity: The EG-ZM200D2 Stepper Motor Rotor Grinder

YiBei Precision Machine Co., Ltd. has put a new machine into its line-up — and it changes what a rotor grinding line can do. The EG-ZM200D2 high-precision CNC stepper motor rotor grinder is purpose-built for stepper motor rotors, and it is designed around one simple promise to our customers: advanced equipment, verified accuracy, and production you can plan around.

Where a general-purpose grinder forces a choice between tolerance and throughput, this machine delivers both. That means our customers get parts that pass incoming inspection the first time — and get them faster.

Advanced Equipment: What Makes It Different

  • Rigid, stress-relieved cast-iron bed with reinforcing ribs, so accuracy does not drift as the shift goes on.
  • Double-V plastic-coated, hand-scraped guideways on both slides — the friction characteristics that hold true micron-level feeds.
  • Hardened spindle (HRC 62–64) ground and lapped to run in high-precision ball bearings with grease lubrication, up to 2,950 rpm.
  • 5.5 kW dynamically balanced wheel spindle running wheels at 60 m/s and above for cooler, freer cutting on thin-walled rotors.
  • Position feedback by magnetic scale at 0.5 µm resolution, read directly — no drive-train guessing.
  • Xinjie XDH5 CNC with YiBei EasyGrinding software on a bus-based PLC platform: 0.0005 mm programming resolution and 5,000 mm/min interpolation.
  • OMRON / Fuji control components, IP55 cabinet with constant-temperature air conditioning instead of ventilation fans — stable control in hot, dusty workshops.

New Productivity: Numbers, Not Promises

Production factorEG-ZM200D2What it means for your line
Cycle time (42 two-piece rotor, allowance under 0.1 mm)22 seconds or lessMore than 1,600 parts per shift at full loading
Slide speed, both axesUp to 10,000 mm/minFast air-cut and return, no wasted seconds
Automatic loader (optional, W + U axes)Dual tray, up to 200 parts per loadOne operator can run several machines
CNC wheel dressing, shared two-axis interpolationAutomatic, programmable intervalNo manual dressing stops, consistent wheel form all shift
Auto compensationDown to ±0.0005 mmSize stays on target without operator intervention

Precision You Can Verify Before You Commit

We do not ask customers to take accuracy on faith. The EG-ZM200D2 is specified in open-loop production to hold:

  • Diameter: ±3 µm over a 90 mm length
  • Roundness: 3 µm
  • Cylindricity: 3 µm over a 50 mm length

These are the tolerances met on your parts, checked on a sampling basis during factory pre-acceptance, with results signed off by both parties before the machine ships. If the numbers are not there, the machine does not leave the plant.

Why Customers Can Order With Confidence

  • Your own parts, ground first. Pre-acceptance runs on the workpieces you send, on your drawing requirements — not on demo blanks.
  • Your team, trained before delivery. Two of your engineers spend five working days at our Yiyang plant covering operation, programming, maintenance and data backup.
  • We stay until production is stable. Installation, alignment, commissioning and a five-day on-site training programme at your factory, followed by a final acceptance run.
  • 12-month warranty, lifetime support. Failed components replaced free during warranty; maintenance and spares available for the life of the machine.
  • Full documentation. Two complete sets of technical files — operation, programming, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, lubrication drawings, foundation and layout, plus system backup media.

Built for the Rotor, Not Adapted to It

Everything is configured around the workpiece. A 125 mm centre height and 2 kg capacity suit small, slender rotors. The V-type quick-support work rest with roller-driven rotation keeps the part located without crushing thin walls, the work head adjusts to ±1° for taper control, and the table swivels ±2°. A full-enclosure splash guard covers both grinding and loading zones, and every drive stops the instant the guard opens.

Grinding fluid is handled by a paper-bag filter plus magnetic separator unit, keeping coolant clean enough for surface finish and OD tolerance held below 0.001 mm. An interface for oil-mist extraction is pre-machined at 100 mm diameter.

Availability

The EG-ZM200D2 is available now for order, with manufacturing, commissioning and sample grinding completed 60 working days after deposit. Custom fixturing, wheel specification guidance and fully non-standard machine design are available for unusual rotor geometries.

Send us your rotor drawing and a sample batch — we will grind it, measure it, and show you the numbers before you place an order.
